Our team has developed a new plasma source using an improved cathodic vacuum arc and has developed a new method of operating it, with the source enabling precise control of the arc discharge. Together with the improved magnetic field configuration, we are pushing the boundaries of plasma surface treatment quality. The new plasma source ensures increased plasma ionization, reduces the mass of the droplet fraction and improves the uniformity of plasma density. Coatings created using the new ARC technology show better mechanical and tribological properties. The result is optimal service life of cutting tools and functional components, higher reliability under extreme loads and, therefore, more efficient industrial production.
