Development

Since 1996, STATON has been developing cutting tools, coatings, and coating equipment. Newly developed cutting tools are tested under real machining conditions on CNC test centres, and the knowledge gained is applied to the design of tools tailored to specific customer requirements. STATON is actively engaged in the development of coatings and coating equipment based on PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) technology. We have mastered both cathode evaporation and magnetron sputtering techniques and continue to innovate and improve these processes, as well as explore new methods to enhance the surface properties of cutting tools.

As STATON works with the full spectrum of plasma technologies, it also addresses specific customer needs, such as the production of nanoparticles with antibacterial and antiviral properties, the replacement of precious metals in hydrogen technologies, anti-corrosion coatings for specialised applications, and many other tailored solutions.
