STATON Turany has developed a new type of PVD MAHLEN coating, designed for forming tools such as shears, benders, molds, punches, and dies. Based on TiAlCrXN, the MAHLEN multilayer coating is primarily intended for pressing and cutting steel, delivering a significant increase in tool service life—even when compared with today’s advanced duplex coatings.
